Nthwese Developments, a prominent property development and management company founded by Seabelo (Herbert) Theledi, has launched a food parcel drive to support communities where the company’s shopping mall developments are located. This initiative is part of Nthwese’s ongoing commitment to enterprise development and community investment.
Starting Location: Diepsloot, near Bambanani Mall
Date: Monday, May 10, 2021
Nthwese employees visited the Diepsloot community to distribute over 1,500 food parcels. Each parcel contained essential food items, including mealie meal, rice, sugar, cooking oil, canned beans, and tinned fish. This distribution is the first in a series of planned stops throughout the week.
“Enterprise development and investing in local communities is a guiding principle of Nthwese,” said Seabelo (Herbert) Theledi. “The hub of economic activities in all areas where we operate has been severely impacted by COVID-19 regulations. The result is we have scores of people who do not have basic food to feed their families.”
He continued, “As business leaders, we cannot stand back and do nothing. Even though financially our malls have been hard hit by the lockdown, we believe it is our duty to support the communities we serve.”
This food parcel drive is fully funded by Nthwese Developments as part of their Corporate Social Investment (CSI) efforts. The initiative aims to provide relief and support to communities during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Nthwese is dedicated to helping those in need during these challenging times.
Nthwese employees will continue their distribution efforts, delivering food parcels to the following locations:
These additional stops will ensure that more communities benefit from the support provided by Nthwese Developments.
Nthwese Developments remains committed to supporting and uplifting the communities in which they operate. Through initiatives like the food parcel drive, the company continues to demonstrate its dedication to enterprise development and community investment, especially during difficult times.
